I've made plush dudes before, but this is the first I've done a custom plush of a WoW character and I thought you folks might enjoy it.

I've got a question for you intrepid tauren and troll-artists, though I don't know if there's actually an answer :x

I consider myself reasonably adept these days of at least fudging humanoid hands into convincing cariactures of the real things, and if worse comes to worse, I can always use my own hands or the internet to find reference. Problem is, a lot of the personality that comes out in hands gets lost when you pare the number of digits from five to three—the cute things the pinkie does on a young girl when she's brushing her hair out of her face, or the feeling of tension when trying to hold a giant ball of energy in control and not flying out in every direction. Some of that just gets flat-out lost when I try to bring the finger count down. Sure, I can get the basic feel of the hand right by pretending I'm a vulcan, but a lot of the personality gets lost. I KNOW it's possible to imbue a lot more feeling into three-digit hands than I am, but I can't figure out what the "trick" of it is. Maybe it's just because I am still only fudging basic anatomical knowledge, I don't even know. Hands and faces are such key factors in making a dynamic picture feel right sometimes, it's become very frustrating.

I hate Christmas.

I hate it beyond all the stress of getting together presents and drawing art for cards and such. I hate that the entire idea of the holiday has become so diluted, that all anyone thinks about is the stress and the presents and the cards. So much for peace on earth and all that sort of thing.

Anyway, this is what's going out on my cards this year, and I hope it's as amusing to you as it is to me. It's not amazing, and it was originally a joke sketch I did in ballpoint pen while I was bored at work, but my other idea just wasn't working out and this was kind of funny. I mean, we've all been there: a low level character who just wants that damn Winter Veil outfit, and, throwing dignity (and robes) to the wind, succumbs to dancing around in your faction's capitol city for whatever gold some weaboo 80 huntard will throw at you for shaking your digital underpants at him. It's shameful, but you might say it's part of the game. Though somehow I think the game that these two are playing is slightly different in mechanics =P

Yes, I know they're humans loitering around an Orgrimmar mailbox. As a loyal member of the Horde, this is what 'mailbox' means to me. I didn't occur to me that the silly Alliance might have mailboxes of their own =P

I finally got that picture done from the other week. Thanks again to everybody who gave me fantastic crits! I was able to fix a lot of anatomy and balance problems that were present in the original, and I'm much happier overall with the entire picture. So, here is

Its been a while since I actually finished anything WoW related! I started this over 2 years ago but lost the file. Found it again not too long ago and decided to finish it. :D

2) I don't know how I forgot to post these! I think I maybe posted the belf one waaaaay back and never made good on my promise to show y'all both of 'em. Apologies if I just don't remember posting them (tell me and I'll remove this part of the post!)

Anyway, I made nerdy WoW cake toppers for my wedding: the belf is my character, the undead belongs to my hubby (he's a mage, look, he's got a stick!) Unfortunately, part of Seraquil's hair got broken off in transit, so she looks like she has a white streak. :(

The imageshack link is a private gallery with no username; I kinda wanted to see more of their work, but google has turned up...well, useless as I have little to go on.

I've joined here through a recommendation over at wow_ladies so I do hope this kind of posting is OK. If not, I apologize, though I've read the rules and haven't seen anything against asking for commissions. I have not one, but two jormungar wyrms commissions for a willing artist right now.

I understand it's a bit of short notice, but I'd like to have them as Christmas gifts for two important people in my life. I'm looking for color work of portraits of my toon and their toon (not necessarily full-body) and am willing to pay between $30-$40 for each piece.
